Members’ meeting – Our delayed ‘Spring Meeting’ (including the 2020-21 AGM) was held on July 28th and was well attended with approximately 70 members present.

We were treated to an excellent illustrated presentation on the future aspirations of Jastar, the new owners of the Elvetham. The family have ambitious plans for the restoration of the buildings as well as the gardens, including glow worms.

David Turver of WeHeartHart concluded the evening giving an update on the proposal to build up to 10000 homes at Shapley Heath Garden Community which in his opinion and shared by the Heritage Society are deemed to be ‘not required’.
