Ancient Oak Tree by Festival Site
It is understood that the Ancient Oak featured in the September 2016 issue of the Contact Magazine is rotting from the inside and would be a hazard should it fall onto Fleet Road.

50th Anniversary Celebration
Ninety guests attended the 50th anniversary celebrations held at the Victoria Hall, Hartley Wintney on Saturday 25 June 2016.

Once again the Village Festival was very well attended and there was a steady stream of visitors to the Society's stand. We recruited four new members and handed out over 80 copies of the Festival Quiz. If you didn't manage to pick up a copy of the quiz you can download one from here for your enjoyment. The Old Village of Hartley Wintney by David Gorsky
David Gorsky was a prominent member of the Preservation Society including the role of Chairman. In November 1994 the fifth (revised) edition of his book 'The Old Village of Hartley Wintney' was published. Copies are available from Hartley Antiques at £8.00 per copy. This 72 page publication includes historical information with maps as well as ten walks.
